We’re prepared to forgive Drew Barrymore’s Grey Gardens tampering (Little Edie? Just don’t see it) in light of the following news. Brace yourselves, ladies of indie, for this might just blow your mind:
Drew Barrymore is to make her directorial debut with a film called Whip It! It will star Juno alum Ellen Page! It’s about ROLLER DERBY!
Page is playing teen misfit (obv) Bliss Cavender, a Texan gal who takes up the skates and changes her life. It’s shooting in Austin this summer.
