Get ready for Girl Friday

By Rebecca Nicholson

Alright, London Lipsters. We’re putting on another show – only this time, it’s a biggie. Oh, and it’s totally FREE, so you simply must pop along.

On Friday, March 7, we’re curating a huge show at Queen Elizabeth Hall on the South Bank (posh), to commemorate International Women’s Day, which is officially the day after. Say hello to… Girl Friday!

There’ll be a very special and monstrously exciting secret guest headliner, who we can’t tell you about, because it’s so secret. Check back here in a week or so and we’ll exclusively let you in on it. Then there’s Monade (Laetitia from Stereolab’s new band), Catherine Anne Davis (“an unholy tryst between Nick Cave, Patrick Wolf and PJ Harvey” – Jude), the rootin’ tootin’ Piney Gir, spoken wordster Dockers MC and DJ sets from us Lipster ladies and George bloody Pringle. I’m exhausted just typing that out – imagine how good the actual night will be.

It’s on Facebook here, and remember, we’ll have the exclusive news on that whacking great headliner, so keep checking back.

PS – yes, we did name it after Joanna Lumley's proto-Shipwrecked series. Honest.
