Revealed! Our Girl Friday headliner is...
OK, boys and girls, it's time to reveal our Girl Friday headliner. So cue drum-rolls, a full, blasting brass band and a thousand booze-fuelled cheers as we proudly announce the woman who will take to the Front Room stage on Friday at 9.30 sharp after all our other wonderful acts. And no, it's not Lesley Douglas doing a solo set on the ocarina.
Be upstanding, ladies and gentlemen for the one and only...
MARTHA WAINWRIGHT!

And hello, we've got her on the blower. "Hello Martha!"
"Hello! How's it going?"
"Good, you?"
"Yeah!"
There you go, readers. (Nothing but incisive, me.) But whether you be a huge fan of Martha's gorgeous folk-rock influenced songs about love, heartbreak and general rah, or an absolute beginner, then you're in for a treat. The youngest Wainwright releases her second album, I Know You're Married But I Have Feelings Too, this May, three years after her first, and eponymous, record, which was my favourite that year by several thousand country miles. Seriously, who couldn't like a copper-bottomed heart-on-sleeve epic about bad relationships, the sad passage of time and your dad being a Bloody Mother Fucking Asshole? I mean, really.
This Friday our girl will preview tracks from her new album, melt our hearts and get me crying into my wine. And all for precisely nought pence, aren't we lovely? Come join us!
I'm there!
Can't wait...

It's gonna be great!
Sounds Amazing
Hope I manage to get off print deadline in time to make it!
