OK, so our clips-of-the-day are usually lovely examples of the video form, alerting you to a new three-minute promo by a band we adore, an amusing thing off the telly, or something similarly spirit-raising. Today we're going off-piste, by posting the new Pot Noodle advert, premiered after last night's first leg of the Liverpool-Chelsea Champions League semi-final.

Following a successful campaign in which the folk behind the cardboard-flavoured, vom-textured snack annoyed the Welsh (despite this Welshie finding the advert quite funny), this time they're attacking women. "If only women were more like Pot Noodle", sings a small, runty man, "if only they came in a pot. Farewell to guilt trips, nagging and random tantrums..." etc, etc, etc. And then there's the lines about preferring a woman freeze-dried, "done in a jiffy", and wishing "she only came with the salty stuff". Which takes the grim euphemism biscuit plus the rest of the (eww) custard cream factory.
