Clip Of The Day: Soulwax make the best tour movie ever

By Jude Rogers

Tour movies are generally as dull as James Blunt: dreary parades of soundchecks, boys burping and hi-fiving, and the odd melancholy shot of the rider's curling sandwiches. (Excuse me while I yawn my lungs out, why don't you?) So hooray for Soulwax, we're saying, for trying to do something different.

Tonight, the Belgian-born masters of the mash-up premiere Part Of The Weekend Never Dies at the Ether Festival at London's Royal Festival Hall, an ambitious, mad, flashy documentary about life on the road. It features 120 shows in Europe, Asia and South America, shot with one camera, and stars tons of Soulwax's musical friends including LCD Soundsystem, Erol Alkan, Tiga, Justice, Peaches (yay, Peaches!) and Klaxons – plus countless sweaty bouncy people. Whoop whoop.

Enjoy the teaser trailer here – and watch out for the screaming Japanese girl at the end.
