#45: Hearts Revolution
Of all the stunts new acts have pulled to get their music heard, blasting it from a convoy of ice cream vans has got to be a first. This NYC-based duo dreamed it up after meeting in a West Hollywood hotel, when Lo (who was already running an ice cream van business) and Ben decided to combine her industry savvy with his desire to be in a band.
Inspired by boy/girl riot grrrl icons Huggy Bear, the cute-looking couple named themselves Hearts Revolution and started making music for the Hearts Challenger frozen treat-filled fleet to play at various locations around LA and New York. The vans would stop off outside skate-parks, art galleries, raves and clubs to dish out sweets, chocolate, toys, mixtapes, vinyl, T-shirts, totes and badges to intrigued passers-by.

Saw these last week
@ Hoxton bar and they were brilliant. Kate Moross' backdrops look amazing. Can't help but think of Les Georges Leningrad (where have they gone?!)- I want to visit the ice cream truck, I've seen pictures of the inside of it and it looks mental.
