In yet another nutty and almost, but not quite, pointless survey, today we find out that the thing that makes a woman feel most beautiful is a good old fashioned snog.

Sixty per cent of the 1000 women who were badgered for their response to that banal question said that kisses on the lips make them feel more desirable then perfume, jewellery or beauty treatments.

Second on the list was a new pair of pants, followed by a horizontal samba, but you might be a bit shocked by number four. It is – drumroll – a wolf-whistle! Yes, getting leered at by a bunch of chaps shouting obscenities at you from the top of a building site makes you almost feel as special as having sex. In fact, it makes us feel better than a bubble bath.
