Skins wins big
Posted: 08 May '08, 11:33
Saucy drug quaffing teens telly show Skins has scored the Best Drama gong at the 48th international Rose D'Or television awards. After awkwardly explaining to the neighbours that yes, that is their 16-year-old with their togs off on prime time telly, we bet the actors' parents are finally proud of the kids.
Proof that not all teenagers act like the cast of Hollyoaks – but they are, at least, as attractive – Skins won the prize at the yearly bash in Lucerne, Switzerland.
Other Brit shows that got the nod included the geek-chic comedy The IT Crowd, The Peter Serafinowicz Show and ballet documentary Bolshoi Ballet, while the BBC2 satirical comedy series Kombat Opera Presents... got the Best of 2008 Rose D'Or award.
A jolly good showing from the UK, don't you think...
