Collapsing Cities

#54: Collapsing Cities

There must be something in that clear blue New Zealand water, because it's spewing out more hot new bands than it is honey (this is not a generalisation. If you go to NZ, every gift shop sells honey-related produce. They love it). Following the influx of brilliant New Zealanders like The Brunettes, Shocking Pinks, The Ruby Suns and Connan & The Mockasins, Collapsing Cities (that's Steve, James, Tim and Jono) are here to woo you with their lo-fi, upbeat tales of boring, boring life. They've got hooks a-plenty, as evidenced on new single Fear Of Opening My Mouth: "If I'm still a telemarketer next year I think I'll end my life." We can't wait to hear their debut album, Elixir Always, when it comes out later this year. Until then, here's Fear Of Opening My Mouth, the video.
