We had a little Google today for some Apprentice final betting odds, to see if it was worth the trek to Ladbrokes for a sneaky punt. But, alas, people far wiser than us pointed out that what with the contestants, contestants' friends and family and production staff and crew, there are probably a few hundred people who know the line-up of the final week, thus making cash betting a little bit unfair. Spoilsports.

However, that doesn't stop us getting excited about the prospect of an Alex, Helene, Lee and Claire face-off. Heck, we might even bet a few matchsticks on the outcome. Problem is, we're not exactly rooting for any of them, since all the candidates on the verge of nice are long gone. But if we had to call it, we'd say Claire or Alex getting hired. And, as Wendy pointed out yesterday, if Alex wins, we'll all do a little cry, because there's nowt so unbearable as a smug bastard proved right.
