Danielle Lloyd gets boobs out for breast cancer

By Jude Rogers

Oh la la, say recovering reality stars everywhere, even when they're the disgraced WAG extraordinaire Danielle Lloyd, the former model who got into hot water slagging off Shilpa Shetty on Celebrity Big Brother. In their lives, if another day arrives, then it's time for another endorsement, and it's even better if one comes along for a charity. And when you're asked to promote the good work of a breast cancer organisation, what should you do? That's right! Get your lady-bits out.

Here's Danielle "baring all for breast cancer unit The Linda McCartney Centre to raise awareness of its Field Of Women event":

Know what the event's about? This picture suggests it's about a load of girls running 'round in the buff with crap pink tattoos on their forearms, and not what it actually is: a day at the Liverpool Cricket Ground to bring 10,000 people together, in clothes, to remember their lost loved ones. Which sounds lovely. And while we can't slag off Danielle for taking part – after all, say the unit, she's raised than £100,000 for the unit since having treatment there two years ago, God bless her – we're a bit sad (cue my noisy understatement klaxon) that her nudity's being used as a promotional tool.

Am I just being a grump? Or are there other strong, bold ways of promoting good charities that don't involve an airbrushed boob? The event sounds just brilliant whatever you think: read more about it here.

Why does this never happen with testicular cancer?

I prefer to give my cash to Cancer Research in general, rather than prioritise one version of this horrible disease over another. Surely helping end all cancers is the way forward?

Cynical? Perhaps...or perhaps not

Call me cynical but is this a)just an excuse for danielle lloyd for her to get her clothes off in public b)a promotional tool for her flaggin career as...oh what is she again? Ah yes the racist, petulant child from big brother!

I don't see how many events we need to "raise awareness" of breast cancer - everyone's aware of it, we just need to raise money for research and treatment, money which seems to just be pissed away into advertising campaigns.

I agree with the other poster - what about testicular cancer and bowel cancer? No amount of empty gestures from Z list celebrities will make a difference, I hail all the fantastic scientific minds who are coming up with breakthrough treatments!
