GOOD AT MUSIC, RUBBISH AT PHOTOSHOP

Last week we bought you news that Russell Brand will be presenting this years MTV's Video Music Awards, and today we're letting you know that Britney Spears may well be making an appearance too. Our pleasure.

Britters is up for Best Female Music Video for her splendiferous I-know-you're-all-talking-about-what-a-mess-I've-become-and-frankly-I-don't-care comeback track Piece Of Me. And as far we can tell, the nomination isn't some cynical ploy by MTV execs trying to get her down to the awards too see if she can repeat the somewhat wonky live performance she gave last year, because they seem to have been nominated online by fans.

No performance has been confirmed as of yet, but as our good friend Mr/Ms Source reveals: "They are going to leave it up until the week before to decide. But they can only advise her - Brit will do her own thing."

Britney's up against Katy Perry (I Kissed A Girl), Rihanna (Take A Bow), Mariah Carey (Touch My Body) and Jordin Sparks (No Air). We're putting our lunch money on you, Britney, so do us proud.
