Free Download! Kotchy & Shunda K From Yo! Majesty: Le Passion, Yo! EP

Shunda K out of Yo! Majesty and Kotchy ("The new Pharrell" - The Internet) have got together to put together not just one, two, or three but FOUR brand-spanking new songtypethings. It is called The Passion, Yo! and this is why it is so good:
ONE
There is some very pleasingly stripped back and wide-empty-spaces 'production' going on. Not that we are about to start banging on about 'production', as let's face it, that is not what this portal is for. Anyway, because it is all quite spare it may well provide a rather relieving antidote to all the whizzes, fizzes and layered musical things what you have been listening to. And if you have been listening to the undeniably beautiful but rather dense Pond of Noise that is Merriweather Post Pavillion, you will know what we mean.
TWO
Holla - the solo Kotchy track, is one of those manifesto This Is What I Am About songs, and includes the lyrics:
If you wear black with navy blue....HOLLA
As it happens, we do wear black with navy blue sometimes, believing as we do not in colour-based garment rules of the sort favoured by televisual 'stylists'. 'Oooo, my name's Gok Wan, I was fat once, boo hoo hoo, that must give me the right to direct fireman's hoses at girls in their pants' (etc.)
THREE
Kotchy is 10000000xAMAZING, not least because he chooses to employ a fellow called Joe Rael Elliott to do his artwork, and it is very very appealing indeed. Look:

If Kotchy is as good a businessman as he is with records / employing people to do his artwork, he will put that on a t-shirt and sell it to us before the week is out. YUM. YUM. YUM. He also has an amusing approach to the listings section of his Myspace page. To wit:

It is FREE.
Download Le Passion, Yo! in all its splendour here <<< When you click on this it will take you away to YouSendIt. We are not 'hosting' this and cannot offer you a Ferrero Rocher. Sorry about that, but you know, it is not that long after Christmas and you should probably lay off the chocolate.
Kotchy on the internets - he has a charming website here and a MySpace here
While you are dicking about on the internet, you should go and have a look at Civil Music (what released Kotchy's Sing What You Want and a super amazing Drums of Death picture disc). Civil Music have a website what is here. And they give away free shit on the regular, yo! ('Oh, stop it,' etc).
