Glastonbury goes back to blah

Michael Eavis books more 'traditional' acts for Glastonbury 2009Michael Eavis has told the BBC that he wouldn't repeat his "controversial" booking of an artist like Jay-Z at next year's Glastonbury, reverting to the more "traditional" style of headliner instead:

"We'll probably be going for the more traditional headliner next year because there are more of them around and after this year everyone wants to come onboard because it was such a good do."

Given that Jay-Z was a massive success who thoroughly owned tedious has-beens like Noel Gallagher, that seems like a massive shame.

Should you want to go to Glastonbury next year, you can pay a £50 deposit in October to reserve a ticket, which will cost more than this year's £155 plus booking, to cover costs. If you pay the deposit then decide not to go, you'll be charged a £10 admin fee for your trouble. Grumble.
