Glastonbury goes back to blah
Michael Eavis has told the BBC that he wouldn't repeat his "controversial" booking of an artist like Jay-Z at next year's Glastonbury, reverting to the more "traditional" style of headliner instead:
"We'll probably be going for the more traditional headliner next year because there are more of them around and after this year everyone wants to come onboard because it was such a good do."
Given that Jay-Z was a massive success who thoroughly owned tedious has-beens like Noel Gallagher, that seems like a massive shame.
Should you want to go to Glastonbury next year, you can pay a £50 deposit in October to reserve a ticket, which will cost more than this year's £155 plus booking, to cover costs. If you pay the deposit then decide not to go, you'll be charged a £10 admin fee for your trouble. Grumble.
