Noel Gallagher: 'No Female Artists Allowed'
Noel out of Oasis has really taken to this blogging thing, but all it's really doing is giving an insight into how much of a tool he is. He's posted a list of his "top 10 bands of all time", but with a few requirements: no solo artists (that makes sense), no collectives like Public Enemy (we understand) and "no female artists allowed". Oh.
Still, it means we get to know that in his predictably dreary music tastes he has a lot of respect for The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Kinkzzzzzzz...
And it makes a nice change from reading about how awful it is to have fans of your music. See:
Some old lady approaches us to ask if we’d mind doing a “quick picture” with the bride and groom! “Erm..no, I don’t think so” (who do they think we are? Robbie Williams?) “Oh, go on, the bride will be heartbroken”. “Good”, I think to myself and off we go to the venue.
And:
Please don't let me suffer the indignity of shopping for undies on the morning of the gig the person who serves me is bound to be a fan!
I might be remembering it wrong, but I always thought Noel was meant to be the witty one, not the pompous, inflated, egotistical, ridiculous parody of a rock star one. Obviously things have changed. Give us Liam talking about Spongebob Squarepants over this drivel any day.
