GOOD AT MUSIC, RUBBISH AT PHOTOSHOP

Russell Brand and Britney Spears have joined forces (namely, the forces of tabloid power, hair power and rehab power) to star together in an advert for the MTV VMAs, which Mr Brand will host next month. ''Citing!" as Brand himself would no doubt mug in an outrageous cockney accent.

We're tried our darndest to find the vid online, but so far we've had no joy, and can only look at photos, in which Russell's beehive is perhaps bigger than it's ever been and Britters is looking just plain gawgeous – and a bit Mariah Carey-ish too.

Prancing about in front of a green-screened elephant, the pair joke about sexual tension, of which Britney denies there is any, and Britney also gets Russell's name wrong, calling him Russell Brown. Arf. LL Cool J then turns up – as he is prone to do – and calls him Russell Bland. Double arf.

Fall Out Chap Pete Wentz also makes a showing in the ad too... sadly, we cannot yet bring you news on how exactly he slags off Russell. But we've got our fingers crossed in the hope that it's a good'un.
