The Kills do art, duet with Arctic Monkey

By Rebecca Nicholson

The Kills art exhibitionThere's a muso-art exhibition going on in Brussels right now, featuring works by Yoko Ono, Brian Eno, Patti Smith, David Byrne, Nick Zinner, Chicks On Speed, Antony & The Johnsons, Pete Doherty, Alan Vega, Fischerspooner, Miss Kittin and The Kills. It's called 'It's Not Only Rock'n'Roll Baby!' which is, for some reason, quite funny, if you imagine it being shouted in a Belgian accent.

Pete Doherty went for the old blood paintings, Patti Smith shows photos of Virginia Woolf's bed and The Kills have stacked up "a bunch of televisions piled on the floor all showing black-and-white images of the indie duo droning," according to one critic. Now we like The Kills, but they could have put a bit more effort in, don't you think?

Meanwhile, in potentially delicious duet news, everyone's favourite Victoria Wood impersonator (that's Alex Turner) and saucy rock'n'roll shedevil Alison Mosshart have got together and recorded a song.

Good news! "It was a really fun thing," says Alison.

Bad news! "We've both been so busy so I don't know if it'll come out."
