The Winner Takes It All
Katy Perry's Cherry Chapstick Looks Rather Rude
It was the MTV Europe Awards last night. Blah blah blah Rick Astley hilariously ironic blah blah blah Perez Hilton red carpet blahhhhhhhhhhh. The most bizarre bit of all? Katy Perry riding in on a giant cherry chapstick. Which categorically did not look like anything else at all, OK? Because she is a girl-kissing girl-kisser.

WIN! Every Kitsune Maison Compilation CD
The ever-wonderful French label Kitsune have given us all of their totally brilliant compilation CDs - numbers one to the brand new six - to pass on to you as a competition prize. Were it not wildly unethical, we would be entering ourselves. It is a really good prize.

WIN! A Rude T-Shirt, Courtesy Of The Virgins
If you squint, this Virgins T-shirt is not very rude. If you look closer you'll see that it is really quite naughty indeed, what with it featuring lots of penises engaged in what can only be described as filth. We are too prudish to wear it out of the house, and so would like to offer it to you, dear, brave reader, as a competition prize.

WIN! BT Digital Music Awards Tickets
Apparently this "digital" lark is the thing of the future. So we're offering you the chance to win a pair of tickets to the BT Digital Music Awards 2008, which take place in London on October 1. We're not sure who's playing yet, but expect live bands and general award ceremony shenanigans (for example, a Crib slicing themselves open with a table - NB this is not guaranteed). It should be a Good Night.

Martha Wainwright Competition - The Winners!
We meant to announce the winners of our signed Martha Wainwright goodies a few weeks ago, but with all of the changes round here, it got lost by the wayside. Until now. So, drumroll please, for these five lucky people...

Who We Would Like To Win The Mercury
Here's who we think should win the Mercury Music Prize, in order of which albums we genuinely liked the best, and not just what we think we should say we like to be cool:

It's Britney, Bitch: 'Female Christ' Sweeps VMAs
We were tucked up in bed by the time this year's MTV Awards, or Video Music Awards to be proper and correct, took place, but by all accounts, Russell Brand was well-behaved but naughty enough to call Britney a "female Christ", Britney swept the board and got a standing ovation (love a survivor) and Kanye West didn't win anything. We're not sure that any of this is news; however, here's who won what. Poor Ting Tings.

Russell Brand + Britney Spears = gags ahoy
Russell Brand and Britney Spears have joined forces (namely, the forces of tabloid power, hair power and rehab power) to star together in an advert for the MTV VMAs, which Mr Brand will host next month. ''Citing!" as Brand himself would no doubt mug in an outrageous cockney accent.
